The ultimate Turkish comfort food. A rich, thick, and hearty white bean stew cooked with tender beef chunks.

Ingredients
- 2 cups white beans (soaked overnight)
- 300g cubed beef
- 1 large onion
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon red pepper paste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes
Instructions
Drain and rinse the white beans that were soaked overnight.
In a large pot, melt the butter and vegetable oil. Add the beef cubes and cook until browned and their juices evaporate.
Add finely chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
Stir in the tomato and red pepper pastes, cooking for a couple of minutes until fragrant.
Add the drained beans and spices to the pot.
Pour in enough hot water to cover the beans by about 2 inches. Cover the pot and simmer on low heat until the beans are fully tender.
