Classic Turkish Rice Pudding (Sütlaç)
A wonderful, light, and traditional milk dessert made with minimal ingredients. Perfect for a sweet craving.

Ingredients
- 1 liter whole milk
- 1/2 cup short-grain white rice
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups water (to boil the rice)
- 2 tablespoons wheat starch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Wash the rice and boil it with 2 cups of water until it absorbs the liquid and becomes very soft.
Add the cold milk to the cooked rice and bring it to a boil over medium heat.
Once boiling, stir in the granulated sugar.
Dissolve the wheat starch in a little cold water. Slowly pour it into the boiling pudding while stirring continuously.
Once the pudding thickens, stir in the vanilla, remove from heat, and divide into bowls. Serve cold with a dusting of cinnamon.
